YOUTH FOOTBALL...THE WAY IT SHOULD BE PLAYED

Videos

From Long Island to New York City, the LINYC has proven to be the gold standard in class, integrity and competition.

With organizations spanning as far as White Plains to New Jersey to Long Island and New York City, the LINYC is continuing to grow. As the licensed Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) league for the New York Metropolitan district, the LINYC has solidified itself as the most elite youth football league in the area. The LINYC age divisions are 8 & Under, 10 & Under, 12 & Under, 14& Under and even an introductory 6 & Under division. LINYC age divisions are governed by a birthdate deadine of August 1. LINYC plays National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) rules. That means real football rules, all the time.

AAU is recognized as excellence in a multitude of youth sports and tackle football is no exception. The Long Island New York City Youth Football League is dedicated to excellence and our clubs can now enjoy the prestige of being a member club of the AAU and competing in the exclusive LINYC AAU Youth Football league, complete with league-based National Championship tournaments annually in Florida during the month of December.

After the Amateur Sports Act of 1978, the AAU has focused its efforts into providing sports programs for all participants of all ages beginning at the grass roots level. The philosophy of "Sports for All, Forever," is shared by over 670,000 participants and over 100,000 volunteers.

Sports for all, forever!

The mission of the AAU is to offer lifelong progression of creeds, to enhance the amateur sports programs for persons of all ages, races and physical, mental and moral creeds, to enhance the physical, mental and moral sportsmanship, good citizenship and safety.
